Migraines and Twinkie

Twinkie's mom here.

Today I attempted to sleep off the effects of a migraine. Migraine time is, of course, entirely Twinkie Time. Captive audience you know.

Most of the time, she's not one to sit on my lap. But lay on the couch... I can hardly get settled before she's picking her favorite spot on ME.

She's fallen off me and the couch quite a few times. Usually a slow slide, followed by a hefty and surprised thump.

She usually starts out on her side, all stretched out.

Then starts the slow inevitable roll onto her back.

Luckily, she balanced herself well today. No sliding off.

All in all, when you're feeling crummy from either the migraine or the drugs, she's a pretty amusing little couch buddy.

Note: these photos are all taken with my camera phone. So not the best, but it was handy.

Obligatory holiday lounge

Mom took this on the 4th of July. Cat independence day, when we rose up against our humans and... ah... took a nap?

Adventures in THE BAG

It all started when Gran'ma came over to play... Her massive foot scared me.

I was forced to seek cover in a paper bag.

It wasn't easy to get open, but I managed.

The evil old woman, angry about a birthday or something equally as silly, continued to harass me.

I was forced to retreat even further, because her feet were rather stinky.

And then jump out and disembowl her with my mighty fangs and talons.

I can't show that, however. Mom says this blog has RULES. Hmph. All that work gone to waste.

All I do is LOUNGE

This picture single hand - er - paw-ed-ly? proves that YES I do more than lay around the house. Sometimes I sniff things with GREAT authority. This tea tray needs to be cleaned, human! And where's my tea?!

A little sniffing... then right back into quality lounging. Moving is hard work, after all. Did you see the size of my neck? All muscle, I assure you. It takes alot of strength to move this girl around.

Sometimes, when mom gives me the proper treat-age, I allow her some closeups.

I've asked her to add them to my portfolio, but she's a lazy human. I think she's in there playing video games, not finding me a modeling job like she says.

I might as well just take a nap, at the rate things are getting done around here...

“Sleeping is no mean art: for its sake one must stay awake all day.” Some great philosopher cat said that, I believe. Freddy Neeches.

Post spa relaxation

Mom took me to the spa to have my nails done. They did an admirable job, though I'd prefer they get painted a blood red color afterwards. Will have to speak with them about it next time.

Afterwards, as usual, mom left my travel bed out for me. There's nothing like a good, comfortable lounge on a quality fluffy towel after going to the spa.

I think she'd like to move it, but I'm determined to camp here until she gives up.

One must exert the right amount of gentle control on their human. With consistency and patience, I have trained her to put my carrier away when I want it put away...

Drinking makes me happy

You're making martini's? What's that? Can I have one?

Not bad. The little stick in it was a good toy. Can I have another?

Ooh. Is the couch suppose to move around like this?

I think it's karaoke time... I'm saaaaaiiiilllllinnng aaaaaaawaaaaayyyyyy.

Hanging 'round the house

Well mom's STILL working on her art class. She claims she's almost done, but I'm not sure I believe her.

I've been forced to hang around the house. No trips in the car. No special toys. No visitors. *sigh*. What's a kitteh to do for fun around here?

Well, I suppose I could work on my posing some more.

This is my 'british blue steel' look. Zoolander is my hero.

And this is my coy look. I was pretty disappointed when I first learned that coy looks don't come with fish...

Ok, I'm done with you. That's all. You can go away now. Buh Bye.
